If Words Could Kill

In this fast-paced word-dueling game for 2–5 players, your only weapon is a wickedly well-chosen word. You'll forge your strongest spell to strike your greatest rival, then hope their reply is weaker than your wit. Fail to surpass an attack, and you'll lose a shield; lose them all, and your fate is sealed.

If you are starting the round, you’ll have 45 seconds to craft a word using the letters in your hand, then use it to attack an opponent. That opponent will then get 45 seconds to craft a stronger word using the letters in their hand and the letters you placed on the table. If they succeed, they can then attack another player; if they fail, they lose a shield.

Each shield, when flipped face-up, gives you an advantage you can use in a future round when you’re attacked. Some give you letters with a higher point value, while others give you an effect that will give you a leg up. But if you lose 3 shields, you’re knocked out of the game for good.
