Light Speed: Arena – Pegasus Spiele English Edition is a frantic real-time space-combat game for 1–4 players where aiming is completely literal. In a series of 10-second rounds, everyone simultaneously drops and rotates spaceship tiles inside a shared arena, lining up printed laser paths with enemy ships and mineral-rich asteroids while trying to keep vulnerable parts of their own fleet out of somebody else's sights. When the final ships are down, take a picture with the free companion app and watch it trace every laser, collision, shield, destroyed ship, and mined asteroid automatically.

Ten Seconds to Aim a Spaceship. No Pressure.

There are no rulers and no carefully measured firing arcs while you are placing ships. You have a tile, ten seconds, and an increasingly crowded battlefield.

Every ship already shows the direction of its weapons and shields, so orientation is the game. A rotation of a few degrees can be the difference between drilling an opponent directly through the hull and firing majestically into empty space.

The clever part is that nobody resolves those shots while the arena is being built. Everyone has to commit first. Only when the battlefield is finished does the app reveal how brilliant, catastrophic, or accidentally self-destructive all those decisions really were.

How the Game Works

Each player controls an asymmetric faction with a base and eight spaceship tiles. Asteroids and arena boundaries establish the shared battlefield.

During each timed round, all players simultaneously place one ship into the arena. Position and rotate it to point lasers toward enemy ships or asteroids, protect vulnerable areas with shields, and take advantage of your faction's special capabilities. Once placed, the ship stays exactly where it is.

After all ships have entered the arena, use the free Light Speed: Arena companion app to photograph the table. The Scan&Play system recognizes the position and orientation of the tiles, traces line of sight, resolves laser fire and damage, tracks destroyed ships, calculates mineral collection, and presents the battle's results.

Points come from successful combat, mining asteroids, faction opportunities, and sponsor-related goals. The highest-scoring pilot wins the arena.
