That's Mine

That's Mine! is a quick 2–5 player family card game about watching a pile of treasure grow and deciding when to slap in and claim it before the mine explodes. Gems, gold nuggets, and diamonds keep appearing on the table, but so does dynamite. Wait for a richer haul and somebody else may grab it. Wait through four sticks of dynamite and nobody gets it.

Greed Has a Fuse

This is a speed and push-your-luck game, not the bluffing game that its name might suggest. Players take turns revealing cards, but everyone needs to stay alert because valuable treasure can become claimable at any moment.

The temptation is wonderfully basic: surely one more card will make the pile better. Sometimes it does. Sometimes it goes boom.

How the Game Works

Players reveal cards from the deck and place them into the mine. When the right opportunity appears, react quickly and slap to claim treasure cards for yourself.

Unclaimed gems, gold, and diamonds can continue accumulating, increasing the value available to a player willing to wait. Dynamite is accumulating too. Reveal a fourth stick and the mine explodes, clearing the remaining treasure before anyone can collect it.

Once the deck is exhausted, total the value of everything you successfully hauled out. The richest miner wins.

Why You’ll Love It

• Easy enough to teach in a couple of minutes.
• Combines quick reactions with a simple push-your-luck decision.
• Dynamite gives everyone a visible reason not to get too greedy.
• Short rounds and a tiny box make it an easy family or travel game.
