The Red Dragon Inn 10

The Red Dragon Inn 10 is a standalone 1–6 player entry in the long-running tavern brawl series, packed with six new adventurers and enough optional modes to make “one more drink” a genuinely dangerous proposition. Roughhouse with your friends, gamble away their gold, survive increasingly questionable beverages, and use your character's wildly asymmetric abilities to be the last adventurer still conscious and solvent. Play it entirely on its own or mix its characters and content with other Red Dragon Inn sets.

Back at the Red Dragon Inn, six new adventurers bring six very different ways to cause trouble. Trapmaster Alaric plays with traps. Dominique relies on dangerous inventions. Eisinder balances fire and ice. Karl Bookhammer has weaponized getting absolutely ripped. Oozwald is an unusually difficult slime to keep in one piece. And Dark Priestess Valeria would like to discuss a completely harmless opportunity to join her cult.

That variety is already enough for a full Red Dragon Inn box, but RDI 10 goes considerably further with alternate taverns, dungeon training, prizes, team rules, and Boss Otto.

How the Game Works

Each player chooses a character with their own 40-card deck, Fortitude, Alcohol Content, and stash of Gold. On your turn, play cards to roughhouse with opponents, protect yourself, manipulate drinks, start gambling rounds, or trigger whatever particularly strange subsystem your character brought to the tavern.

Then drinks arrive. Alcohol pushes your Alcohol Content upward while fights and other effects can drive Fortitude downward. If the two meet, you pass out. Run out of Gold and the Inn is also quite happy to show you the door. The last adventurer still standing wins.

RDI 10 includes several ways to change that familiar formula. Pub Crawl moves the party between different taverns with their own events and drinks. Dungeon Training sends the group through simulated dungeons beneath the Inn. Boss Otto supports cooperative play and even a solo game against an automated opponent.
