Word Wipe

Word Wipe is a cooperative real-time word-association game for 2–10+ players where the group is trying to clear a growing table of nouns by finding one secret word that connects several of them. The clue giver cannot simply say what they are thinking. They reveal their hidden card, group it with the Table cards they believe share a connection, flip a 30-second timer, and hope everyone else can identify the exact word tying those ideas together.

Good clues in Word Wipe are not necessarily clever words. They are words your particular group will actually find.

Maybe three objects obviously suggest "school" to you. Your friends may look at precisely the same three cards and decide the answer must be "yellow." Once the timer starts, you mostly get to watch this happen.

Successful guesses remove cards from the table. Miss the connection and the spread grows, creating even more concepts to sort through on future turns.

How the Game Works

Table Cards are placed face up where everyone can see them, while players also have Hand Cards containing additional concepts.

When you see a useful connection, choose a secret word that links your Hand Card with one or more Table Cards. Reveal your card and physically group the cards you are linking together.

Flip the 30-second timer. The rest of the team now tries to guess your exact secret word. As the clue giver, you cannot speak, but you may arrange or tap cards and can use a Hint Card to indicate whether the answer is a being, place, or thing.

Guess correctly and the connected cards are wiped from the table. Miss, and another card is added instead.

The group wins by clearing the table before time and accumulating mistakes overwhelm the shared puzzle.
