Zombie Princess is a competitive trick-taking card game for 3–6 players that turns the familiar logic of Spades into a wonderfully ridiculous fight against a fairy-tale zombie outbreak. Players bid on how many tricks they expect to take, wield asymmetric Princess powers, and navigate four rounds with changing special rules. You are predicting exactly how many zombie hordes you can handle and then trying to make reality match the plan.

That creates deliciously awkward decisions. A strong hand can be a problem if you have already taken everything you promised. A Princess power that looked situational may suddenly save your entire round. And when teams are involved, helping your partner without accidentally wrecking both of your bids becomes its own little tactical puzzle.

How the Game Works

At the beginning of a round, players assess their hands and bid on how many tricks they expect to win. From there, familiar trick-taking fundamentals take over: cards are played, suits matter, and each trick goes to a winner.

The challenge is accuracy. Taking more tricks is not automatically better. Your bid becomes a promise you are trying to fulfill, which means the same card may be valuable early in a round and dangerously powerful later.

Each Princess has a unique ability that can provide information, flexibility, or tactical leverage, and every round introduces a special rule that changes the landscape. Those twists keep players from relying on the same habits game after game.

Zombie Princess can also support team play, adding another layer of communication and coordination to an already interactive card game.
